Thank you very much for reaching out to us and for your interest. We would like to kindly inform you that the Medical University of Gdańsk is an academic institution and does not offer traineeships. Such placements can only be completed at the University Clinical Centre (our teaching hospital). However, the hospital has informed us that it is currently not accepting foreign trainees—except for those coming either through the local branch of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) or as part of the clinical training component of an Erasmus+ study exchange conducted under valid bilateral agreements with the Medical University of Gdańsk. This restriction results from organisational constraints that make it impossible for the hospital to provide appropriate support for additional trainees at the moment. We are sorry that we cannot offer a more favourable response, and we trust that the above information clarifies the matter.
